I have had a great year with Ali my Bouvier; he has turned out to be a great dog. I just wanted to say thanks. The training I did with you has been the foundation of everything I do. You helped a lot!

I have known Ivan for a few years now and have always admired the way he thinks about how a dog thinks. We first met about 1999 or 2000. I had already been on a WUSV team with Troy. I was preparing for the following year’s events when we had Ivan come in to do a seminar. What happened was he not only helped me to see what I needed to do with my dog's weakness, but he completely changed the way I look at dogs and how to make it "clear" to them. It was truly a huge change in my approach after that. And we became friends. I will always be grateful for Ivan's thinking outside the box with the training and making me think differently.

I have been fortunate to train with Ivan for many years now and consider him a mentor and true friend. Without question, he has been a huge influence and inspiration to me as he has forever changed the way I think and train. I guess the ultimate compliment is that I work with him whenever I get the chance. Ivan is truly the best at what he does.

I only can recommend a seminar with Ivan Balabanov. It was really amazing, Ivan never looses concentration, gets tired or becomes inpatient. I have never seen somebody holding a seminar and working with each individual for so long one on one. It was really great! And also when Ivan explains something he likes to compare it with examples, so even the theory was colorful!

Hello, my name is Roo and I have a Pit Bull named Wallace. Just wanted to send over an email to say thanks for making your training videos. A friend of mine had purchased a couple of your videos and I was able to watch one regarding tug training. We saved Wallace from being put down and after watching your video it gave me the basis that I knew I needed for this little high drive pittie I now had on my hands. I mainly started training just to get an out command, but the foundation we set took us to places I never imagined. We got involved with the sport of Frisbee dogs and the philosophies from what I saw on the video I watched were very similar to how to train for this sport. In our sport it's just one big game and the dog is in drive the entire time. The transition Wallace made into the Frisbee dog world was incredible. In under two years, I was able to take this "good for nothing" dog that was a "liability", and turn him into one of the best Frisbee dogs around. Here's a recap of our first two years together. We have won major competitions this year, and just won the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge National Finals. I have to get going, but I just wanted to say thanks for making your training videos. The information is really great and this is just proof for you that it expands beyond the sport it was produced for. Feel free to check us out on You Tube or and www.wallacethepitbull.com Maybe somewhere down the road I will be able to thank you in person.

I had a training problem which I tried unsuccessfully to solve for a long time. I even had other trainers try to help me and they failed also. I didn't know Ivan at that time, however I decided if anyone could solve the problem using a method I would approve of Ivan could. I went and trained with Ivan and he fixed my problem within three training sessions the first day I was there. I spent a few more days training with and getting to know Ivan. Ivan is a super trainer and a great guy. Ivan definitely helped me on the way to achieving my goal of becoming the 2007 Schutzhund USA national champion. Everyone who is involved with dogs could benefit from training with Ivan.

Ivan Balabanov is, in my opinion, the most gifted competitive sport trainer in this country. I have learned more from my time training with, and from watching Ivan, than from any other single trainer in my career. He is thoughtful, innovative, and insightful. Ivan and I may have our training differences, but I cannot recommend anyone more completely. If you are interested in dog training, you should expose yourself to Ivan Balabanov.

In 2000 I attended my first Ivan seminar. By that time I had been training and successfully competing with my dogs in AKC events. My goal for the seminar was to find out more about Schutzhund. Instead, Ivan and his methods captivated me. This first seminar, and subsequent training opportunities with Ivan, changed my entire dog training paradigm. Ivan'smethod of “Clear Communication” became the foundation for my trainingprogram. Starting puppies with this approach has led to happy, confident, versatile working dogs whose success has surpassed all of myexpectations. Thank You Ivan! You truly are “One of a Kind”.

Ivan Balabanov is perhaps one of the best dog trainers in America. Ivan's newest video "Obedience without Conflict" is without a doubt a revolutionary training method and should be viewed by all who are interested in perfecting their training skills. Having had the pleasure of judging Ivan, as a handler and observing Ivan's training skills, I myself, without hesitation recommend Ivan's latest videos "Obedience without Conflict ".

I started training with Ivan in 2004 with my Malinois Eli vom Teufelhund, who was one year old at the time. Under Ivan's program we built an excellent foundation on Eli's protection phase. Ivan was very instrumental in mine and Eli's performances. Since I've been training with Ivan he has influenced my way of thinking on how dogs learn in the sport of schutzhund.

While Ivan’s countless accomplishments can speak for themselves, his greatest achievement cannot be measured in titles and trophies. There are many talented trainers out there, but it takes someone especially gifted to revolutionize the sport as we know it. Ivan has earned his place in history by doing just that.
On a personal note, I would be challenged to find anyone who inspired and continues to inspire me as much as Ivan has. Perhaps fate was really at play when an ordinary teenage girl walked into a seminar that would change her life. And for that I am eternally grateful.

Ivan's seminars bring understanding and fun way to work dogs. Dogs learn fast and without conflict. We had Ivan at our club for two years in a row. In each seminar, the improvement on the dogs participating after only one day, was to put it mildly, phenomenal. I don't think there is a better Malinois breeder, trainer and coach in the sport.

We are very happy to have an opportunity to meet Ivan during the AWMA 2009 championship competition. It was very nice personal and learning experience. Ivan is real master of dog training. We were fascinated by speaking with him about his methods ant training philosophy. The video lessons at Train Per View are exceptional and we find them very useful and interesting for dog handles on all levels of training. We were specially impressed with puppy video "Treat Chasing" which is our favorite because it shows what is the essence of Ivan’s theory.
